FIND AN ANSWER

We kindly ask that you arrive at least 5 minutes before your scheduled appointment time.

If you are running late, please contact us as soon as possible via phone or WhatsApp.

As our appointments are carefully scheduled throughout the day, we are unable to allow delays to affect the experience of other guests. If you arrive late for your appointment, your service may need to be shortened.

To ensure a high standard of service for all clients, arrivals more than 10 minutes after the scheduled appointment time may result in the cancellation of the appointment, with a charge equivalent to the value of the booked services.

At ALOHA SUNSET, we are committed to delivering beautiful, long-lasting results and the highest standards of service with every appointment.

For this reason, we offer a 7-day guarantee on all Gel Manicure services. If you experience chipping, lifting or any issue related to the application within 7 days of your appointment, we will be happy to assess the issue and provide the necessary correction at no additional charge.

This guarantee applies to all Gel Manicure services, including Gel/Acrygel and Acrylic Nail Extensions, and does not apply to regular nail polish services.

How do I redeem the guarantee?

To request a correction, please send clear photos of the affected nail(s) to our team via email or WhatsApp within 7 days of your appointment. Once reviewed, we will contact you to arrange a suitable solution. Issues must be reported within 7 days of the original appointment date and time. For example, if your appointment was at 5:00 PM on a Friday, any issue must be reported by 5:00 PM on the following Friday.

All purchases of products and services made through the ALOHA SUNSET website or app must be completed by debit or credit card.

Online payments are processed exclusively through the secure environment of Viva Payments. ALOHA SUNSET does not store, access or retain any card details entered during the payment process.

Services and products purchased directly at the salon may be paid for by either cash or card. Cash payments are accepted for transactions up to €499, in accordance with applicable legislation.

If you have any questions regarding payments, our team will be happy to assist you.

What is a Gel Manicure?

A Gel Manicure, also known in some countries as a Semi-Permanent Manicure or Gel Polish Manicure, is a long-lasting nail treatment cured under a UV or LED lamp. It provides a glossy finish and greater durability than traditional nail polish while helping maintain a neat appearance for longer.

To ensure the highest standards of quality and safety, ALOHA SUNSET uses professional OPI LED lamps and regularly renews its equipment in line with industry developments and manufacturer recommendations.

What is TPO?

TPO (Trimethylbenzoyl Diphenylphosphine Oxide) is a photoinitiator that has been used in certain gel nail products to help the material cure under UV or LED light. Following recent regulatory changes within the European Union, TPO is no longer permitted in cosmetic products placed on the EU market since 2025.

At ALOHA SUNSET, we carefully select professional products from trusted brands that comply with current European cosmetic regulations and safety standards.

How long does a Gel Manicure last?

A Gel Manicure typically lasts up to 2 weeks, depending on your natural nails, lifestyle and aftercare routine.

Can I purchase the products used during my treatment?

Selected nail care and nail polish products are available for purchase through our salon and online shop. Please ask your Nail Artist for recommendations based on your individual needs.

Can I bring my own gel products?

For safety, hygiene and quality control reasons, we only use professional products supplied and approved by ALOHA SUNSET and are unable to apply products brought from outside.

Are there any circumstances where nail treatments cannot be performed?

Yes. The health and safety of our clients is our highest priority. For this reason, we may be unable to perform certain nail treatments in cases where there are signs of infection, inflammation or conditions affecting the natural nail or surrounding skin.

Examples include, but are not limited to:

  • Fungal nail infections
  • Onycholysis (lifting of the natural nail plate)
  • Active bacterial or viral infections
  • Open wounds, cuts or bleeding around the nails
  • Severe inflammation or allergic reactions
  • Undiagnosed nail or skin conditions
  • Ingrown nails or severe nail conditions requiring specialised treatment

Please note that ALOHA SUNSET does not perform corrective procedures for ingrown nails or other pathological nail conditions and provides aesthetic nail care only. In such cases, we recommend assessment and treatment by a qualified podiatrist or your treating physician.

If you are unsure whether a treatment is suitable for you, we encourage you to contact our team prior to your appointment and, where appropriate, seek advice from your doctor, dermatologist or podiatrist.

ALOHA SUNSET reserves the right to refuse or postpone a treatment if it is considered unsafe for the client or the Nail Artist.

What types of nail polish do you offer?

At ALOHA SUNSET, we offer three categories of nail polish services:

  • Classic Nail Polish, with an average wear time of up to 1 week.
  • Coloured Nail Treatments, combining nail care with colour and lasting up to 1 week.
  • Long-Wear Nail Polish, designed to provide extended wear for up to 2 weeks.

Do classic nail polishes require a UV or LED lamp?

No. Unlike Gel Manicure services, traditional nail polishes dry naturally and do not require curing under a UV or LED lamp.

How do I remove traditional nail polish?

Traditional nail polish can be removed using a standard nail polish remover. We recommend soaking a cotton pad with remover, pressing it gently against the nail and wiping from the base to the tip. Once removed, wash your hands and apply cuticle oil and hand cream to keep nails and skin hydrated.

Are nail polish products safe during pregnancy?

We carefully select professional products from trusted brands that comply with current European cosmetic regulations and safety standards. However, as every pregnancy is unique, we recommend consulting your doctor if you have any concerns before your appointment.
